Your house might soon be underwater
I’m writing this edition of Local Authority on the hottest day. Yesterday was also the hottest day of the year. So was Wednesday.
Now, some hot days in summer aren’t entirely unusual, and indeed there are some (weird) people out there who actually seem to enjoy this sort of thing.
But it’s hard to escape the thought that things are getting just a little bit too hot.
It’s time to talk about the climate elephant in the room.
Now, this is a Medway newsletter and I’m not going to sit and prognosticate on global or national solutions to this, but rather look at where we are on a local level.
