I gave up taxis and switched to Uber...after clinging on for several years...because I couldn't get a cab one night that would take a card. Sorry taxi drivers...I wanted to be loyal...but my safety has to come first
The glibly cynical comment about troublemakers having Sunday dinners and peaceful people watching football made me roar. But to be honest, most venues open at 12pm on a Sunday and that seems ample enough. I mean who wants to start drinking/ have a roast/ start dealing with customers at 11am on a Sunday? And anyway, there’s always Spoons if you want a bevvy and fry up.
