Three new MPs for our towns following a bleak night for the Tories
The Labour Party, as part of their march across the country, has swept to victory in all three Medway constituencies.
It was a tough night for the Conservatives, as MPs who had served multiple terms found themselves turfed out by the voters, and new candidates couldn’t break through.
In Gillingham and Rainham, Naushabah Khan bested Rehman Chishti, while Lauren Edwards defeated Kelly Tolhurst in Rochester and Strood. At the same time, Tris Osborne beat Nathan Gamester in Chatham and Aylesford, perhaps by accident.
