I visited Copenhagen once, and on the train out of the city we passed what seemed like every other garden with a proper flag on a proper flagpole. What a contrast to here. It would be better if more of us done the same rather than have the country's flag used only for special occasions. So what is the special occasion right now? And who is this group of people who have been organizing this, whatever it is?
Is this really about ( inclusive ) community pride?
What baffles me the most about this flag protest thing is what’s the end game, what do they expect to happen now they are up. Most people I expect will do what I’ve done and just shrug their shoulders and say ‘cool’ then get on with their lives. And I can’t imagine they think immigrants will look at them and go ‘shit I didn’t realise I was in Britain, I had better leave’.
I’ve just got this image of these angry protesters all smugly looking at each other, then awkwardly saying to each other ‘what now?’

'Tell us you don't like our flag without telling us you don't like our flag.' LOL
