Spembley continues to loom large on Chatham skyline
How can a building be allowed to fall into such a state of disrepair?
If you’ve spent time in Chatham recently or have just driven through on the A2, it’s hard not to spot the looming presence of the Spembley Building. Sitting between New Road and the High Street, the building has gone from looking like some fancy new build flats to a run down and vandalised eyesore in just a few years.
So what has happened, and why does no one seem to be doing anything about it?
