In your report about the granting of a Premises Licence to Oceanic Eats X Amala Buka in Strood, you mention "despite it being in a Cumulative Impact Area". The restaurant is in a Stress Area which is not the same thing. The applicant was carefully questioned by a Strood Councillor and justified their request with reference to Licensing Objectives. Cumulative Impact policies and designated Stress Areas are there for democratically agreed reasons including improved public health.

While Nightingales are cute and sing very nicely, it becomes silly that these little birdies come before the shortfall of housing needed in the area. Get real. We have so many people that need homes and seemingly nowhere to build them. We need many more houses, they have to go somewhere.

Interesting, so the Headquarters Civil Servants are proposing to take on the RSPB. I wonder if the Labour Party realise who they maybe up against?
